Service & Repair work - Tripp Batt & Co. Ltd
Conditions of Acceptance
Shown below are our terms and conditions for carrying out service/repair work on your machine.
- All written prices quoted (labour and parts) are inclusive of VAT at the appropriate rate.
- All services on machines are fully guaranteed as per the original invoice for a period of three months from the date of the invoice (winter services carry a three month warranty, applicable from 1st April following the invoice date). This is subject to fair wear and tear and non-misuse or damage to the machine.
- All parts replaced during service will be discarded unless otherwise specified by the customer at the time of receipt of the machine (used oil will not be returned)
- Collection and delivery of machines for service is a chargeable extra, unless otherwise agreed.
- Any additional work over and above that specified by the customer that needs to be carried out to the machine will be indicated to the customer together with a cost, which will have to be agreed, prior to Tripp Batt & Co Ltd proceeding with the repair.
- Machines repaired and not collected or paid for within one month of notification of completion will incur interest charges of 5% per month based on the invoice total, covering our costs for storage of the machine.
- Machines repaired and not paid for or collected within three months of completion of repair will be sold off to cover our reimbursement.
- Machines not repaired and not collected within three months of the original booking-in date will be disposed of.
- Estimates for repair of machines will be given in writing at your request and a charge of £5.00 will be made, which is redeemable against the repair or subsequent replacement of the machine. Verbal estimates will not be binding. All estimates will be in writing.
- Machines stripped to facilitate estimates will be returned disassembled if the estimate is not accepted. Re-assembling of the machine to its original booking-in condition is chargeable at an hourly rate.
- Any undue delay to the repair of a machine, due to the non-availability of spare parts will be notified to you where applicable.
- Payment for repairs is on collection or delivery and is by cash, cheque or recognised credit card only. There are no credit or account facilities on repaired machines unless previously agreed in writing by the management.
